I'm glad to see Adam West refused to appear in this jingoistic pablum (Burt Ward would do anything for a buck). Tomorrow we'll present the extra rare "Batgirl explains Venereal Disease." Same Bat-time. Same Bat-channel.
A Post note to the PSA, according to Yvonne Craig, when it came time to do the shot, the Batgirl costume was missing. Burt Ward (who had kept his Robin costume) had taken it for his then girlfriend. He would have her dress up as Batgirl and appear at conventions and other appearances and put on some sort of skit. When it looked like they couldn't do the shoot, he had to reluctantly admit he had taken the costume and was forced to give it back at the end of the shoot.

Oh sure, THAT'S why Burt Ward wanted his girlfriend to dress up like Batgirl. Promotional appearances.
